What's in a Blog

I have been going through a bit of a rough patch these last couple months. A deepening depression (it's getting better!), the sudden passing of my Aunt, and the stress of daily life has been wearing me down. My creative productivity is in the pits. I feel a need to be real  on this blog. I see a lot of blog posts that are rainbows and sunshine 24/7. That is great. I love seeing the positivity, but life isn't always perfect. I don't want to sugar coat my existence and make my life look better than it is. Sometimes those points don't match up. Sometimes your skin looks like shit. Sometimes you throw your quilt in a corner and cry. Sometimes you just feel like ass. This is just the reality of life. I think social media and the never ending quest to keep up appearances have destroyed the not-so-pretty part of being human. The part where everything sucks and nothing seems to go your way.
